What exactly is segmented reflective heat transfer vinyl?

Are there any guidelines for heat press lamination?
In order to ensure adequate adhesion and performance, the proper temperature, pressure, and time conditions must be tested for each fabric. Nylon fabrics and fabrics treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish are difficult to adhere to and should not be recommended for use as substrates for lamination.
Apply uniform heat and pressure to a flat surface. Do not apply film over seams and stitches. Application of heat and pressure to fabric (substrate) with adhesive side down. After the application has cooled to room temperature, remove the protective film. Remove the protective film by lifting the corner of the application and pulling it continuously and smoothly at about a 45° angle.
