YGM’s Purple Reflective Tape – This purple reflective tape can be applied to many different surfaces as it is pliable and conformable. EMS vehicles can have reflective stripes, and fire hydrants can be color coded according to flow rates with bands (see the flow rate table at right). A reflective stripe makes EMS vehicles, hydrants, bicycles and helmets visible at night, when visibility would otherwise be impaired. The lights illuminate before flashlights, so they’re perfect for marking fire tools in darkness so they can be located. Many motorcycles and military personnel use black reflective tape to identify their tools.
Hoops made of purple reflective tape glow from a flash or light source when a flash is pointed directly at them. There is a key distinction between reflective tape hoops and LED hoops: They do not illuminate the hooper.
In hooping, the participant will not see the full effects of the light. Reflections reflect back to the source of light. Lights should be positioned in front of the audience or close to the camera recording the action for best results.
