Cold peel is the standard operation: peel off the backing film only after the transfer vinyl cools down completely, so as to ensure full curing of the adhesive and qualified bonding strength.

Warm peel or hot peel will stop the adhesive from finishing the curing reaction, leading to common defects such as weak adhesion, film displacement and curled edges. Unauthorized warm/hot peeling is prohibited in non-professional operations.

II. Precise Pressing Parameters: Temperature, Time and Pressure Vary by Material

There is no universal set of pressing parameters for the two types of HTV; settings must be adjusted strictly according to material properties and base fabrics:

Reflective HTV: Recommended pressing temperature 140–160°C, compatible with most textiles; higher temperatures suit thick heavy fabrics.

Luminescence HTV: Recommended pressing temperature 130–150°C. A relatively lower temperature range prevents high heat from damaging the performance of luminous powder.

General rule: Pressing time and pressure should be adjusted along with temperature, with fabric type as the decisive factor. Lower the temperature and shorten the pressing time slightly for thin fabrics, and moderately raise parameters for thick fabrics.
